A video editor is only as good as the videos people choose to post and keep watching. So that is what we test — with real takes, the creators who filmed them, and real viewers.
No hand-picked demo clips and no scores from a model grading itself. Every decision is made by the creator or by viewers.
Twenty unedited takes from working creators, filmed for their own channels — talking head, screen recordings and voice-only, in more than one language. Each creator agrees to the test and to the takes being published with the results.
Auteur edits each take once, first try, no hand fixes. The same take goes to each comparison editor with the same brief and the same source material. Every version is exported at the same resolution and length limit.
Each creator watches the versions of their own take with names, watermarks and end cards removed, in a random order, and picks the one they would post. They can also say “none of these”.
Where the platform allows it, versions are shown to comparable non-follower audiences (for example as Instagram trial reels) and we record the share of viewers still watching at 3 seconds and the average percentage watched.
One row per metric, one column per editor. The table fills in when the test is done — not before.

Results coming — test in progress.
Owner to completeName the comparison editors (for example a freelance human editor and another AI editing tool) before results go up, and publish the raw takes with the creators' consent.
When results go up, everything needed to check them goes up with them.
